Every minute counts.

StudyTarget 60 min58% done
35 / 60 min

Most trackers call this a miss. Ascend counts it as 58%.

Ascend is a free habit tracker that counts partial progress. Study 35 of your 60 minutes and it shows 58% done, not a fail.

How it works

  1. Add a habit

    About a minute, once

A name is enough to start. Targets, days and steps are there when you want them.

  2. Record what you did

    A few seconds a day

Tick it off, or type how much you did. Half a workout still counts toward your progress.

  3. Read your review

    Once a week

See what went up, what slipped, and which habit needs you next, in plain words.

This is the screen you'll use every day

Today lists what's planned, takes a tick or an amount, and gives partial days their credit.

Ascend's Today screen: Read done, Study 58% done, Drink water 75% done, Meditate and Run still to do, and 58% of the day done with partial credit.
A sample account with example habits. Nothing here is a real person's data.

Built for real routines

Habits have steps

Break Gym into cardio, weights and stretching. Each step keeps its own progress, and Gym counts as done when the steps you need are done.

Targets for the week

Not everything is daily. Aim to run three times a week or study ten hours, and Ascend counts toward the week instead of failing you each day.

Rest days are safe

A day you didn't plan a habit never breaks its streak. Only the days you meant to do it count.

Reviews in plain words

Each week and month you get a short read of what changed, built only from your own numbers. No guessing, no made-up advice.

Questions

Is it free?
Yes. Create an account and use everything. There's nothing to pay for.
Why do you ask for my email?
So you can reset your password if you forget it. You can also choose to get a short monthly report of your progress. That's all: no newsletters, no marketing.
Who can see my habits?
Only you. Your habits, entries and journal are private to your account, and you can download all of it as a spreadsheet at any time.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Open the link in your phone's browser and sign in. Every screen is laid out for small screens too.
What if I forget my password?
Choose “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page and enter your email. Ascend sends you a 6-digit code to set a new password, and the email reminds you of your username too.
What if I change a habit later?
Your past days keep the rules they were tracked under. Changing a target or a schedule never rewrites your old results.
